The report is long, so it helps to know what each part is for:

How to read a kundli: the order astrologers follow
- Check the birth data. Date, time to the minute and place, with the correct time zone. The lagna changes sign about every two hours, so a wrong time moves every house.
- Read the lagna and its lord. The rising sign is house 1 and the frame for the whole chart. Note where the lagna lord sits and how strong it is.
- Read the Moon and its nakshatra. The Moon sign shows the mind; the Moon's nakshatra fixes the starting point of the Vimshottari dasha.
- Read the house for the question. For any question, look at that house, its lord, the planets in it, the aspects on it and its karaka — marriage is the 7th house with Venus, career the 10th.
- Weigh the yogas, not just list them. A yoga gives results only through strong planets and in their dashas. A yoga formed by weak or combust planets promises little.
- Time it with dasha and transit. The running mahadasha and antardasha show which promises open now; Saturn and Jupiter transits confirm the year. The Navamsa (D9) confirms planetary strength.

Common questions about the birth chart
What is a Janma Kundli?
A Janma Kundli, or birth chart, is a diagram of the planets and signs at the exact date, time and place of your birth. In Vedic astrology it is the basis for reading personality, life areas and the timing of events.
What do I need to make a kundli?
Date of birth, exact time of birth and place of birth. The time matters most, because it fixes the lagna — which changes roughly every two hours and from which every house is counted.
What if I do not know my exact birth time?
A reading is still possible. The Moon's nakshatra can be established from an approximate time, and the lagna can be narrowed by rectification — testing candidate times against events that have already happened. It reduces uncertainty rather than removing it.
What are the 12 houses in a kundli?
The twelve houses (bhavas) each govern an area of life: self, wealth, siblings, home, children, health and debts, marriage, longevity, fortune, career, gains, and expenses. Planets placed in or aspecting a house colour how that area unfolds.
Which is more important, the lagna or the Moon sign?
The lagna is the main frame: houses are counted from it and it is the more precise for timing. The Moon sign is read alongside it — for the mind, for the nakshatra that starts the dasha, and for transits such as Sade Sati.
How long is the Vimshottari dasha cycle?
120 years across nine planets: Ketu 7, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19 and Mercury 17 years. The first dasha is that of the lord of the Moon's birth nakshatra.
Why does my kundli show a different sign from my Western horoscope?
The two use different zodiacs. Vedic astrology is sidereal, fixed to the constellations, with the Lahiri ayanamsha of about 24 degrees in 2026. Western astrology is tropical, fixed to the seasons, so most people are one sign earlier in a Vedic chart.
Is the free kundli here the same as a paid one?
