OUR COMMITMENT
Editorial Standards
Everything published on this site is meant to inform and reassure — never to frighten or mislead. These are the standards by which our articles are researched, written and reviewed.
1.Authorship and expertise
This site is published under the name and editorial direction of Astrologer Dr. R.P. Sharma (Dr. Ram Pravesh Sharma) — holder of an M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Delhi and an M.A. (Acharya) in Predictive Astrology from the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, with 45 years of practice. Articles reflect his teaching and approach to Vedic astrology, Vastu, spiritualism and the Tantra-Aagam tradition. You can read his full profile here.
2.Accuracy and sourcing
We take dates and facts seriously. Festival and muhurat dates are based on the traditional Hindu panchang; eclipse and astronomical details are checked against recognised astronomical sources. Where a date is a future projection (for example, lunar festival dates for a year whose authoritative panchang is not yet published), we say so plainly and advise readers to confirm nearer the time.
3.No fear, no fabrication
This is our most important principle. We do not use fear to influence readers, and we do not invent testimonials, ratings or claims. Any remedies discussed are traditional and proportionate — a mantra, a charitable act, a simple practice — never costly rituals sold through anxiety. Astrology offers guidance and perspective; it is never a substitute for qualified medical, legal or financial advice, and we say so wherever it matters.
4.Tradition and fact
Vedic astrology is a tradition of belief and interpretation. We aim to present it with respect while being honest about what is devotional or traditional and what is verifiable fact — for instance, distinguishing the astronomical reality of an eclipse from its traditional significance. We do not force connections where none genuinely exist.
5.Use of digital tools
We may use digital tools to assist with research and drafting. For our articles and editorial features, every piece is reviewed by a person before it is published. Our daily horoscope is produced differently: the planetary positions are calculated astronomically, and the guidance is drafted with computer assistance, automatically each day, within the editorial methodology, voice and standards that Dr. R.P. Sharma has defined — it is general Moon-transit guidance for reflection, not a personal reading. In all cases the editorial responsibility and standards remain ours.
6.Independence and transparency
Our content is editorially independent. We do not publish paid articles disguised as editorial, and should any content ever be sponsored, it will be clearly labelled as such.
7.Verifiability
Anything checkable on this site should survive checking. Celestial facts — eclipse dates, sankranti and festival timings, tithi and nakshatra — are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris (Lahiri ayanamsa) and re-verified by an automated audit before publication, so a reader comparing them with any standard panchang or observatory listing will find them consistent. Market-related observations are published only together with their full backtest data. And we never publish a promise: astrology here is guidance and timing, not certainty.
7.Feedback and corrections
We welcome corrections and questions. If you believe something is inaccurate, please tell us — see our Corrections Policy or write to astrologer.rps@gmail.com. We review every message and update content when needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the editorial standards that guide the content on this site?
All articles are prepared on the basis of the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and related classical texts, ensuring that each statement is traceable to a recognized sutra or commentary. The 10th house (profession) and Mercury (communication) are examined for authenticity, and any claim is cross‑checked with planetary periods (dashas) before publication. Remedies suggested are drawn from traditional sources such as mantras and charity, never from modern superstition.
How can I identify a genuine and experienced Vedic astrologer?
Look for a practitioner who has studied the 12 houses, the nine grahas and the major dasha systems (Vimshottari, Yogini) under a recognized guru and can cite specific yogas like Gaja‑Kesari or Raja‑Yoga. A solid record of accurate predictions during the planetary periods of the 7th (marriage) and 10th (career) houses indicates practical skill. Offering simple remedies such as chanting the Gayatri mantra or donating to a cause aligned with Saturn (Shani) shows adherence to classical practice.
What distinguishes a top‑rated, trusted astrologer from others?
A trusted astrologer demonstrates mastery of the lagna (ascendant) and its lord, can interpret the strength of planets in their own signs (e.g., Mars in Aries) and explains the timing of events through dasha analysis. Consistency in reading the same yoga (e.g., Dhan‑Yoga for wealth) across multiple charts builds reliability. Ethical practice, such as recommending charity to Saturn or advising a simple mantra, reinforces trust.
Is there a way to verify the accuracy of an astrologer’s predictions?
Accuracy can be checked by comparing the astrologer’s past forecasts with the actual outcomes during the relevant dasha (e.g., the Mahadasha of Jupiter for education). When the 5th house (creativity) and its lord show a clear yoga, and the predicted period aligns with the planetary transits, the result is a strong indicator of precision. A modest remedy—like lighting a ghee lamp on a full moon—can be used to test the practical effect without fear.
Why should I avoid astrologers who claim “instant miracles” or “guaranteed results”?
The classical view holds that the karma reflected in the 6th house (obstacles) and the slow‑moving planets such as Saturn cannot be altered instantaneously; true change follows the natural rhythm of dashas. An astrologer who respects the timing of the Moon’s phases and the gradual unfolding of yoga will advise realistic steps, such as chanting a specific mantra or offering food to the needy, rather than promising sudden outcomes.
What role do planetary yogas play in establishing an astrologer’s credibility?
Yogas like Raj‑Yoga, Dhan‑Yoga, or Chandra‑Mangal Yoga are formed by specific relationships among planets and houses; an astrologer who can identify these in a chart and explain their timing through the dasha periods demonstrates deep knowledge. For example, a strong Venus in the 2nd house during its own dasha indicates financial stability, and the astrologer may suggest a simple remedy of chanting “Om Shuklam” to enhance this effect.
How does the author’s own experience support the editorial standards here?
Having practiced Vedic astrology since 1979, holding a Ph.D. in the discipline and the title of Acharya in Predictive Astrology, I apply the same rigorous methods described in the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra to every article. The use of the 9 grahas, the 12 bhavas, and the major dashas ensures that readers receive guidance rooted in authentic, time‑tested tradition.

Astrology for Editorial Standards Families
In the heart of Faridabad, Editorial Standards families often bring questions about careers in manufacturing, real-estate timing, and marriage timing—all shaped by the area’s industrial pulse. For manufacturing professionals, Jupiter’s aspect on the 10th house (career) or a strong Mercury show skill in production and finance. Those watching property cycles benefit from checking the Moon’s position in the 4th house and the strength of Saturn, who rules land and structures—his transit through Taurus or Libra can signal ripe moments for land deals. For marriage timing, look to Venus’s nakshatra and the 7th house lord’s dasha; if Venus is with Mars in a fiery sign while Saturn aspects the 7th, delays may appear, to be smoothed by a simple Rudraksha or yellow sapphire after proper mantra initiation. Timing is everything here.
