Common questions about these guides
Where should I start if I am new to Vedic astrology?
With your own chart rather than with theory. A free kundli gives your lagna, Moon sign, nakshatra and dasha sequence in a few seconds, and the guides make far more sense once you can see your own placements. After that, the kundli and rashi guides are the natural first reads.
Do I need my exact birth time to use these guides?
For reading them, no. For applying them to yourself, it depends on what you are reading. The Moon sign tolerates an approximate time; the lagna does not, because it changes roughly every two hours and every house is counted from it.
Are these guides based on classical texts?
Yes — the framework throughout follows the standard texts of the tradition, principally Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, with Phaladeepika and Jataka Parijata where they are the usual authority. Where a page departs from the classical position, it says so rather than quietly substituting a modern view.
Is any of this a substitute for professional advice?
No. Health, legal and financial questions appear in these guides because people bring them, but astrology sits alongside a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant and never in place of one.
