Frequently Asked Questions
What do “terms & conditions” mean for an astrological consultation?
They clarify the scope of what can and cannot be addressed during the session. Astrology works through the planetary signals in the natal chart (lagna kundali) and their operating dashas; any request that asks the chart to predict something outside its natural timing (e.g., a specific day for surgery beyond the current mahadasha) falls outside the supported framework. These limits protect both client and practitioner by keeping the reading within classical definitions of what karma can be read and when.
Who is the top astrologer in India?
There is no official ranking; reliability is measured by the match between past predictions and actual events in the client’s life, not by popularity. A chart where Saturn (Shani) occupies the 10th house of profession and is well-aspected often produces steady, disciplined practitioners whose counsel proves reliable over time. What matters is whether their readings align with the planetary yogas in your own kundali.
How do I find a genuine, experienced Vedic astrologer?
Look for someone whose own lagna chart shows strong Mercury (Budh) in the 2nd or 5th house—this indicates clear speech and retentive knowledge. Then verify that they use the birth details you provide to build a prashna kundali or at least cross-check the dasa-antardasa with your natal chart. A genuine practitioner will never rush; they will examine the 1st, 7th, and 10th houses before speaking.
What makes an astrologer trusted and reliable?
Consistent accuracy depends on two classical checks: first, the strength of the Moon (Chandra) in the navamsha (harmonic 9) chart, which shows emotional intelligence; second, the clarity of Mercury in the birth chart, especially in the 5th or 9th house. A trustworthy astrologer will explain the yoga or dosha without resorting to vague phrases and will suggest classical remedies—mantra, charity, or gemstone only after verifying the chart’s planetary strengths and weaknesses.
Are long-distance consultations less reliable than face-to-face meetings?
Distance does not reduce accuracy when the birth data is complete and the astrologer constructs a prashna or natal chart with the correct ayanamsa. The crucial factor is the strength of the ascendant lord in the 1st or 10th house and the presence of Mercury in the 2nd or 5th. If these are strong, a remote reading can be as precise as an in-person session.
Do I need to share my birth time exactly, or is an approximate time acceptable?
An exact birth time is essential because the lagna (ascendant) changes every two hours; even a 15-minute error shifts the entire chart. If time is unknown, the astrologer may use the Moon’s nakshatra and the sunrise chart to estimate, but results will be approximate. For reliable dasa-based timing, precision is non-negotiable.
