Why are there no vivah muhurat dates from 16 December to 14 January?
That is Kharmas (Malmas): the Sun transits sidereal Dhanu (Sagittarius) from about 16 December 2026 to 14 January 2027, and auspicious ceremonies are not begun. Dates resume from 15 January 2027.
Why are there no dates in mid-March 2027?
Two reasons overlap: the Sun enters Meena (Pisces) on 14 March, another Malmas month in most traditions, and Holashtak — the eight days before Holi (22 March 2027) — is avoided for weddings.
