Sharad Navratri 2027: Dates, Ghatasthapana and the Nine Nights
Sharad Navratri 2027 begins on Thursday, 30 September 2027 (as per current panchang) with Ghatasthapana and leads up to Dussehra in early October. These nine nights honour the nine forms of Goddess Durga.
The festival
Each day is dedicated to a form of the Goddess, observed with fasting, prayer and the joyous Garba and Dandiya. The sacred kalash is installed at an auspicious morning muhurat to open the festival.
