When Nadi dosha is cancelled
Nadi dosha arises when both partners have the same Nadi (Adi, Madhya or Antya), which scores 0 of the 8 Nadi points. Classical texts treat it as cancelled or much reduced when:
- both have the same Moon sign but different nakshatras;
- both have the same nakshatra but different Moon signs;
- both have the same nakshatra but in different padas.
These exceptions are widely followed but not universal, so a Nadi match should be judged on both full charts, together with the rest of the guna score, before any decision.
How this is calculated
