Vrishchik (Scorpio) Moon sign is not in Sade Sati now; its last one ended in January 2020. The next begins when Saturn enters Libra — briefly in late January 2041 and for good on 26 September 2041 — and ends when Saturn finally leaves Sagittarius in December 2049. The peak phase, with Saturn over Scorpio, begins on 11 December 2043.
Sade Sati dates
| Phase | Saturn in | Dates (IST) |
|---|---|---|
| Rising (12th) | Libra | Late Jan – early Feb 2041; 26 Sep 2041 – 11 Dec 2043; 23 Jun 2044 – end of Aug 2044 |
| Peak (1st) | Scorpio | 11 Dec 2043 – 23 Jun 2044; end of Aug 2044 – Dec 2046 |
| Setting (2nd) | Sagittarius | Dec 2046 – Mar 2049; Jul 2049 – Dec 2049 |
Dates are for the sidereal (Lahiri) zodiac in Indian time. Where Saturn turns retrograde across a sign boundary, a phase is split in two. Sade Sati is counted from the Moon sign (rashi), not the ascendant — check yours with the Moon sign calculator.
Where Vrishchik Rashi stands now
In October 2026 Saturn is in Pisces, the 5th sign from Scorpio — no Sade Sati and no dhaiya. From 3 June 2027 Saturn moves into Aries, the 6th from Scorpio, which is traditionally one of Saturn’s best transits, good for health, competition and clearing debts.
What each phase is read for
- Rising (12th from the Moon, Libra): expenses, sleep, endings, distance from home.
- Peak (over the Moon, Scorpio): pressure on body and mind, heavier duties, slower results.
- Setting (2nd from the Moon, Sagittarius): money, family and speech; the load eases toward the end.
For Scorpio Moon, Saturn rules Capricorn (3rd) and Aquarius (4th), so effort, courage, home and property are the usual themes. The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio, which is why this rashi is said to feel Saturn’s pressure on the mind more; a strong natal Moon softens it.
