Who is Vamana?

Vamana came as a small brahmin boy to the generous asura king Bali and asked for three steps of land. Granted the gift, he grew into Trivikrama and covered earth and heaven in two steps; Bali offered his own head for the third. The story is about humility, keeping one’s word and the limits of pride.
