Ketu in 2026: Where It Is
Ketu is in Simha for almost all of 2026 — it entered on 18 May 2025 — and moves into Karka on 5 December 2026 (mean node, IST), where it stays until about 24 June 2028. Rahu, always exactly opposite, moves from Kumbha into Makara on the same day. Panchangs that use the true node can show the change a few days apart.
What Ketu Does in Transit
Ketu brings detachment, spirituality, sudden endings, research and loss of interest in worldly goals to the house it occupies. Classically, transiting Ketu gives its best results in the 3rd, 6th and 11th houses from the Moon — courage, victory over rivals and gains — and needs care elsewhere, most of all over the Moon itself (1st), in the 5th, 8th and 12th.
