- Transits from the Moon and ascendant: Jupiter and Saturn show which houses are being supported or tested; Sade Sati and Saturn’s 4th/8th transits are checked from the Moon.
- Strength of the planets: a transit gives full results only when the natal planet and the dasha agree.
- Timing within the year: retrograde periods and sign changes split the year into phases.
