Is a monthly forecast more reliable than a daily one?
It is broader rather than more reliable. A monthly reading follows the Sun, which spends about a month in a sign, so it describes a longer arc. Both are written per sign and shared with about a twelfth of the population, and neither can see your dasha.
Which sign should I read?
Your Moon sign. Indian forecasts are written for the Chandra Rashi rather than the Sun sign. A free kundli will confirm yours in a few seconds if you are unsure.
What would tell me more than this?
Your own chart. The running Vimshottari dasha decides the windows in your life, and it differs completely between two people who share a Moon sign. A monthly forecast is the backdrop; the dasha is the actual timing.
