Yuga yoga (yuga = a pair or yoke) is one of the Sankhya Nabhasa yogas: it forms when the seven planets, Sun to Saturn, are crowded into just two signs. Rahu and Ketu are not counted. It has nothing to do with the four cosmic ages (Satya, Treta, Dvapara, Kali). It is rare; classical texts describe unorthodox views and uneven finances.
How the yoga forms
All seven planets in exactly two signs. It belongs to the Sankhya group of Nabhasa yogas, which count how many signs the planets occupy.
Nabhasa yogas are pattern yogas: they look at how the seven planets from the Sun to Saturn are spread across the chart. Rahu and Ketu are not counted. The number-of-signs group (Sankhya yogas) applies only when no shape-based Nabhasa yoga is present.

How rare it is
Jupiter and Saturn must be in one of the two signs, together with the Sun, Mercury and Venus, and Mars and the Moon in either. Such tight clusters happen only occasionally. More often, five or six planets cluster and the rest spread out — that is a different Sankhya yoga.
Typical results
Classical descriptions: unconventional or heterodox in belief, uneven or limited finances, and periods of rejection by others. As with all Sankhya yogas, the dignity of the planets and stronger yogas in the chart can change the picture considerably.
