What is checked
- Plot: shape (square or rectangle is best), cuts and extensions, slope.
- Entrance: direction, position on the wall, obstructions outside.
- Corners: north-east open and clean; south-east for fire; south-west heavy and closed; north-west for movement.
- Centre: kept open, without heavy load, toilet or staircase.
- Water: sumps and borewells north-east; overhead tank south-west.
